Hi, got a 03 galant se. Started with radiator cap melting down into radiator. Since then we are on our third water pump in 4 months. the mechanic is stumped mad and tired of replacing them. What could cause this?

have you tried flushing the cooling system and see if their is something you could put in there to clean it out

the entire system was flushed at each water pump change.
