Heater problem
2003 Mitsubishi Galant 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
My car heater is not working since past few days and the car seems to be running hot as the heating indicator goes to halfway between Cold and Hot.
The upper radiator hose was too hot and the lower radiator hose was not even warm. Also both the heater hoses were cold.
I flushed the coolant and also replaced the thermostat. The old thermostat was not opening in boiling water so I guess it failed closed.
Now the upper and lower radiator hoses both are getting equally and very hot to touch. Both the heater hoses still remain cold. Still no heating. Car still seems to be running hot as earlier.
I plan to go to Mechanic tomorrow, but need pointers as to what could be the problem. Thank you.
