I just bought this car and it came up with 2 DTC codes:same-P0507(RPM is higher than expected and RPM lower than expected). I changed air flow sensor and Idle Air Controller Valve. Idle RPM stays at 1400 while Parked and while I shift to Drive RPM goes to ~700. I cant come up with any other solution. When I turn on AC RPM drops as well, I dont know if it is okay.

Does not seem right.

Rpm should be 700 or so with or without A/C.

Were the parts replaced new or used?
Did you erase the trouble codes?
Any trouble codes after replacement of components?

Senor was used but working condition tats wat it said and its OEM. Valve is new but off the market. I got warranty on both. Dtc code was cleared afterwards. I drove more than 100 miles. Restarted engine and it again came up ,havent checked code afterwards but rpm is higher 1400.

Get the codes retrieved and see if it is the same.

Hi, I got CODE retrieved from different mechanic, its same code: P0507

This time its all different story:
he said that powertrain control module(pcm) has some problem which is causing IAC valve to shot! keeping RPM higher.
he quoted me $1400: $ 900 for the PCM unit and rest for labor.

He checked my car for about 45 mins and came to this conclusion. Its driving me crazy.
Car does not seems to giving any problem while driving or even in IDLE situation it does not vibrate.

Service engine light is ON.
Can you give me any direction ?

It is possible for the PCM to be faulty causing the problem. When the IAC failed, it could have shorted the PCM.

I have sent some files for the diagnostics. See if you are able to perform the test and find out if it is a component or wirng fault.
