I am finding it impossible to replace the front off-side side light (position lamp) as I cannot remove the lamp socket from the headlamp housing despite following the instructions in the manual. The socket is supposed to be removed by turning it anticlockwise but it just will not move. Has anyone done it successfully before and can give me some advice?

Hi glenlitch,

Thank you for the donation.

The socket sometimes gets stuck rather tight due to the rubber seal and the position does not allow much room for applying sufficient force to twist it.

Try shaking the holder in circular motion to try to get the rubber seal to loosen up before trying.

If the above fails, I would use a piece of rag to provide more leverage and at times a plier is required, hold over lightly and do not grip hard as it would damage the holder. A long nosed piler with a screwdriver as leverage is another option.

Hope the above helps.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.
