1995 Mitsubishi Galant transmission remains in limp mode

Computer will not let me in to scan for errors..maybe a bad brain or tcm?

Hi jolor, Thank you for the donaton. For Mitsubishi vehicles, quite a number of scanners cannot read the codes, especially the transmission codes and you can try using a voltmeter or a LED lamp. Voltmeter Method 1. Diagnostic connector is located to the right side of steering wheel under the instrument panel. Install voltmeter between ground terminal No. 4 or No. 5 and diagnostic output terminal No. 6. See Fig. 20 .

2. Turn ignition on. Note fluctuations of voltmeter needle to indicate DTC. The first fluctuation indicates first digit of DTC. Following fluctuations indicate the second digit of DTC. See Fig. 9 . Record DTC's in order displayed.
