I started noticing the brake pedal going down too far?

This is normally due to a fluid leak but if the pedal is not going all the way to the floor then it is most likely just worn brake pads. Clearly if you had a leak and the pedal is dropping then you would have lost brakes by now. Here is a guide that will help with this:

I had my brakes and rotors replaced at NTB and a couple weeks later during a heaving snow, attempting to brake coming down a hill, I had no brakes. I got no resistance whatsoever and the brakes went all the way to the floor. My car has ABS brakes but the light did not come on. NTB told me that my car required ceramic brake pads and that I needed rotors. Since the accident , I talke to Mitsubishi who said they do not use ceramic pads on any of their cars and that using an off brand rotor and pads that are not mitsubishi parts could have possibly caused the brakes not to kick in that day. Can you offer me any help? Being unable to stop and a car was stopped in front of me letting someone back down the hill, I had to steer to the right of the car and up on the sidewalk and ended up doing 4500.00 dollars worth of damage to my car underneath.

The fact that the wrong material pads was used and non- Mitsu rotors will not make the pedal go to the floor.It can/will make a difference in the stopping distance of the car, but not the pedal going all the way down. Brakes ok before this accident? This is a hydraulic problem, not materials
