2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse 6 cyl 58844 miles

I was hearing a clicking sound and had my oil checked- I was three quarts low and it takes four- the clicking stopped, but has any permanent damage been done?

If this is the first time and you fix it as soon as you hear it, probably you will be OK.

But I would suggest that you check you oil level once a week, as the mfg recommends.
