I am trying to replace the crankshaft pulley on the 3.0 Mits engine. It has one big bolt in the middle. Is this threaded normally or reverse threaded? Once I get the bolt off will the pulley come right off or will I need something special to get it off? Is there a certain torque I need to put the bolt back on with?

Hello,
1 the bolt is normal thread.

2, there are only a hand full of cars that the balancer will just pull off.
most use a puller

3, i'm looking for the torque spec, give me a few minutes
ok, there is a foot note, to apply engine oil to the treads before installing.
torque to 131-137ft.lbs.

I have tried to get the bolt loose but with no luck. Do I need an impact wrench to get it loose?

the bolt is probably torqued down to about 200ft.lbs.

you can get it with a long enough breaker bar, but you have to keep the engine from turning over.

take the starter off, and wedge something (like a big flat screwdriver) between the teeth of the flywheel and the bell housing of the transmission.
