Mitsubishi Squeals when cranked cold and only in ger. I have made my carrier for over twnety years fixing cars and equipment and I cant seem to stop this for my son.
If you start this car when it is cold it is fine but as soon as you put it in gear it makes this awful squealing noise. I have replaced all belts. timing belts and the water pump. And yes a water pump can give you a squeling noise. the belts are are adjusted properly and all idlers and pulley sheaves are in good shape. Before you ask it also does this with the AC on or off. Trust me this one is not easy to find.
