1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gs 2.0 DOHC
Very weird idle problem that no one can seem to figure out.
Start the car cold,runs great till about 20 minutes later the car will idle rough.
New timing belt,New Coil,New Plugs,New Wires,New Egr Valve.
I sprayed the factory egr valve diaphragm with brake clean and the engine rpms shot right up. so i thought it had a faulty egr valve,go to the parts store get a new one. Replaced the factory one,same deal. Idles rough and if i spray the diaphram with brake clean the engine rpms shoot right up.
One thing i do not like about the egr valves in these car's is that they are not sealed units.
And i think these units may be faulty and create a vacuum leak.
