1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Air Conditioning stops cooling.

have the pressure switch checked for faultiness.. i still say there is some kind of pressure related problem

I check the presurre switch and make a jumper between the cables and the compressor start and begin to cool. After 5 min or so I disconnect the jumper and the compressor stop. I put the pressure swith back and the compressor start to work and is workind every time i put the air conditioning. Is the a posibility tha the computer have a code or something? because I put some 134a in the syistem and the pressure is at 35. Maybe the computer shut down the system until the pressure normalize and need some kind of reset and when I disconnect the swith it goes back on line again. Is that posible? and thank you for the help.

Ups stops cooling again. Any other suggestion?

when I purchase the car both fans start at the same time when you start the car but I buy a new temp sensor and begin to work properly. then I separate the circuit to the air cond. fan and now the fan start by a relay that I install feeding from the compresssor relay. I also intall the termostat that the former owner eliminate.

you said low pressure is 35. is that steady when the compressor shuts off? what is your high side pressure reading? another thing is if your just dumping r 134a into system without evacuating it first and keeping it on a vacuum for a half hour or so. you probably have the incorrect amount of freon in system also it has a lot of moisture in it. you would be surprised how many air conditioning systems i fix by just evacuating the system and correctly recharging it.
