Hi,I have a 98 Eclipse Spyder 2.4 automatic.The car has a bad idle that will give me a 304 code here and there.I found the plug wires were arcing and I replaced the wires and plugs.Didnt fix it so I replaced the coil--no fix.I tried another set of wires just to make sure--nothing.The wires still arc after all of that and you can also see the spark travelling on the wires sometimes.Any help would be great.Thanks

Hello !!

did you replace the spark plugs with the correct resistor?

sometimes an incorrect resistor could lead to an arcing wires, what kind of spark plugs do you installed?

also the wires.. are a good quality?
let us Know!

I used ngk plugs BKR5EGP the same that was in there--I noticed the plugs I took out were just BKR5E and they had a larger electrode.Not sure if that makes a difference.The wires were supposed to be good quaility--about 80.00 dollars.I tried two different brands.Can too much spark cause arcing and if so what can cause that.Thanks
