1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse harmonic balancer

I watched my mechanic change my timing belt and he had to use a special tool to remove the harmonic balancer. It is pressed on and trying to break it loose without the tool can damage it and strip the bolt. Get the loaner tool from auto zone for free. hope this helps
