1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse clutch pedal

i just had the transmission rebuilt by mitsubishi everything is new except the housing and the gears. my clutch pedal just recently dropped to the floor for no reason. i was driving on the interstate and it was fine and when i got on the off ramp it just went straight to the floor and has been that way all day. my question is what would cause it to do that?[/quote:f916ee2bd1]

Leak in the line a bad clutch slave or master cylinder. Or the clutch slave cylinder poston popped out of clutch fork.

Crawl under vehicle look for leaks and check clutch slave.

the day after i posted this i looked under the dash at the clutch master cylinder rod that attaches to the pedal and it was bent badly. i went to buy a new master cylinder yesturday and it now works.
