1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse sunroof wont shut

i try to close the sunroof but it stops an inch or two short of closeing i really need to get it closed before the inside of my car is ruined

same things happens to my sunroof what the problem is for me it is slightly off track so it gets close to closing then it opens back up. so what you can try to do is close it as much as possible then try to push it back on track pulling it left or right my was personally the left side it fixes it every time
