Transmission problem
2001 Mitsubishi Diamante 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

When I checked the DTC codes I got a P01751 which indicates a Transmission control module problem. Is there any way a shade tree mechanic can repair the problem?
Also the "N" flashes on the shift indicator and the car seems to be in second all of the time.

Have the input and output shaft sensors checked out its not recommended for a shadetree there's more to it or you can try replacing both sensors after you check out the wiring harness/connector for short and open circuit and see what happens. Otherwise you have to bring it in to the dealer
