Just got all of my tires changed, front end alignment, new tie rod end, etc. Just passed inspection.

When I accelorate to about 40 mph, at 2000 rpms, my car shakes like I'm going over speed bumps.... And recently when I'm coming to a curve or stop sign and I let off the gas, it does the same thing...
However, I tried putting it in neutral as I'm slowing down around corners, etc. and the shaking stops. I thought it was the tires, but now I think its the engine. Also, I've never had a tune up on this car in the two years that I've owned it.

What do you think?

I had a similar problem and have done extensive troubleshooting to fix it. First I had broken engine mount and was fixed. 3.5L engine is very torquey so engine mounts, especially the lower one, could cause this. After two new front tires with alignment the problem persisted, found I had a bad tire but that was not it. Problem could be axle/cv joint because the shaking only occurs when accelerating, if you are coasting the shaking stops, right? A mechanic explained that it could be that so I will replace axle to see if problem stops.

Possibility exists that this is due to breakdown of ATF and has to do with torque converter. Make sure you replace ATF with correct one SP-III ATF. I will try this now.
