1995 Mitsubishi Diamante Car shutting off

I have a 95 Mits Diamante LS DOC that shuts off at stops and when car is in idle. At one time it only shut off on hard or sudden stops but now it does it all the time. What can the problem be?

My Mitzi Diamante had a similar problem
It would die on idle randomly and got worse

Lucky my Mech down the road had had a similar problem in a BMW

He replaced the "Air-Flow" meter
as this sends signals to the air/fuel mix
To test it he just unplugged the air-flow meter
(the car is sposed to cut off - but it doesn't)

A new one costs approx $800 ish
2nd hand it's be $200 - $500
