Accidentally ran over my keys with lawnmower. I found my truck key which is missing the pats microchip. I don't have a spare key or the remote key fob. Theft light flashes as the engine turns over.. truck won't start. Is there any way to negate the pats or turn the system off completely?

Good evening,

I would suggest having a locksmith come out to you and make a new key and program it.

As far as the Pats, it would be easier and cheaper to have the key made than do that procedure.

As Roy stated it is a lot cheaper and faster to just have a new key made and programmed in. That is because any bypass would need to be done by removing the scan for the key in the ECM and security module by reprogramming them. Because you have the working mechanical key the cutting part is much easier, then they just program in the new key.
