Hi, I believe I need a new PCM, but would like your opinion. Codes p1603 and p0700. I have checked circuits until I am blue in the face. Everything I have checked is okay. I was going to replace speed sensors but was told the p1603 will ruin the PCM. I guess my only question is this, since the TCM is integrated with the PCM, is it common to get the codes like that? I just want to try and not miss anything. Thank you

I am attaching the testing that you will need to run through to confirm this. The P0700 is just telling you that there is another DTC with the trans controller. However, you are correct that the PCM is the TCM on this vehicle so that means it wants you to address the other DTC.

This P1603 is telling you that there is an internal issue with the PCM or the fused ignition has failed.

Please run through this material and let us know what questions you have but I suspect you are going to have to replace the PCM.

Thank you so much. I will certainly run the tests, but I too believe a new PCM is going to be the order of the day. It is most reassuring to know you are here if I have any questions. Again thank you.
