Engine Cooling problem
1999 Mercury Villager 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 99 Villager that when we first start it everything is fine. The radiator fan kicks on fine. But after we drive it for a little while the fan won't kick back on and the engine starts to overheat. We've already replaced the fan motor because it went out. When this happened we replaced the coolant temp sensor and one of the fan relays. What else could it be and is it the dreaded computer(ecm).

the coolant temperature SWITCH should be replaced not the sensor.

also try to check for voltage at the relay thorughout when its running and not.
