1996 Mercury Villager Ignition coil

1996 Mercury Villager 6 cyl

We were driving along and the vehicle just died. We checked fuel pump & spark plug wires. No power from ignition coil. Motor turns but will not fire up.

What do you think could be the problem?

you get +12v with key on?

the -12v you wont get with a multimeter because it pulses too fast for yours to pick it up. you will need an oscillioscope
