A-Frame damaged during an ice storm.

would love to "buy a little bit more time" with this vehicle, which is in otherwise excellent condition. Wondered if the repair of the A-frame would be worth the cost.

I was told to "find" an A-Frame at a junk yard and then have it repaired by a mechanic.

this car would basically be driven around town for errands......and i want to take it to my son, who is 220 miles away.

As for determining if it cost affective to replace the a-frame is very hard to say. It really depends on how much you like the car and where and how it damaged. If it is the bolt in sub frame for the front then you would need to price it first from a wrecking or salvage yard then see what it would cost or take to put it in and if the price it worth it to you to keep the car then go for it if not then junk it. Hope this helps but it is hard to say without seeing the damage. Thanks.
