1993 Topaz has a metallic rattle that seems to be coming from under the valve cover at idle. The slightest acceleration (50-100 rpm increase), and the noise disappears. Stays gone during normal driving until you return to idle, the the rattle returns. This is with the engine at operating temperature. I believe the noise is there at cold start also. Bear in mind it is not real cold in Michigan yet...
