Electical problem After driving the car for about five min

After driving the car for about five minutes, the speedometer first goes out. Then I noticed the power steering and transmission stops working properly. Also, the engine seems sluggish. {In that order.}

Once the car sits for about an hour, the car seems to be back to normal again.

You could have a vaccume leak or a ground issue.

This sounds like you could very possibly have four independent/unrelated concerns - you may want to prioritize? (and be a little more specific on which problem's most annoying/worrysome to you).
This age/mileage you will definately begin to notice "deterioration of multiple parts"- and may want to "put the blinders on" with some issues - unless you're ready to part with some money - and work on repairing others...ground issue-maybe, but vacuum leak???
