96 sable engine codes

1996 mercury sable 200,000 OHV 3.0 U
the car randomly jerks and i got codes P0340,P0131,P0401,P0402,P1130,P1131.
P0401 = EGR flow insuffient
P0402 = EGR flow excessive
they are contradicting each other?

No they are telling me that the EGR is sticking and not operating smoothly. Try pukking it of and using a vac pump, to check the operation,
P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit (Bank 1 or single sensor)
P0131 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 1
P1131 Lack Of HO2S11 Switches - Sensor Indicates Lean
P1130 HO2S Circuit Low Variance Bank 1 Sensor 1 G C X
P1130 Lack Of HO2S11 Switches - Fuel Trim At Limit M
First problem to clear up is the EGR or EVR...reset light and test drive.
