2002 Mercury Sable 3.0 L engine noise

My Sable whistles loudly when driving up hills. A mechanic advised to replace the Plenim Intake Gaskets. After doing that repair, it was still whistling.

Can you duplicate the sound if you hold the brake and put it in drive and goose it? if yes get a pal to help out...
