Engine Performance problem
1999 Mercury Sable 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
I have a 1999 Mercury Sable, and when you floor it, like when you hit the highway, the RPM wont go any higher than 28 RPM, and it will kick back, and only stay at 60, but if you ease into it and let it climb, it will get up higher and higher. I'm just wondering what the issue could be. I took it to a Transmission shop, and the guy who was looking at it took it for a drive and said everything seems fine with the Transmission, but it still does this. I was told it might be a gas filter. Could you please help me?
