My car wouldn't start one cold morning. After cranking for a while, it started up. I put Water remover into the tank and after two or three more mornings of having trouble starting, the problem seemed to go away. But then the car started having a stalling problem when coming to a stop. Not every time, but a few times a week. Occasionally it lost power momentarily while driving at highway speeds. (the tachometer drops and the cars engine shudders then comes back) Put in another water remover but didn't help. Had the fuel filter changed and lines purged but didn't help. Mechanic said fuel pump was at the low end of expected pressure (32 psi) and that should be the next step. About two weeks of driving with only 1 or 2 momentary power losses. Now it started back up again and I have trouble starting. It seems to have fewer problems when I keep the tank full. Also, seems to start after putting ignition in accessory for a few minutes. Definitely seems like it could be a fuel pump problem but I don't want to 'pay and pray' my way through this problem.
