1995 Mercury Sable 6 cyl Automatic 42000 miles
Subject: (Car overheating after reving motor f/being stuck/snow) I drove a few miles after my neighbor revved the heck out of my engine in order to get out of a snowy-icy driveway...(apparently do not have 2-wheel drive so not sure how to answer that category)....upon arriving back home after a brief journey, I noticed my car was smoking under the hood and earlier that the heater was not working, so added anti-freeze after an appropriate cool-down. But before that I noticed a moisture of some sort of substance on the battery but on the opposite side of the radiator and anti-freeze septical sectuib of the engine. I then ran the car and noticed the temp gage was not registering high, or registering at all, but suddenly, it began kind of smokin' under the hood and when I looked at the situation, there was a poof from what appeared to be a big 12-14 inch wide hose. What happened because my car was running fine before being stuck in the snow?
