Diagnostic code now what

I have a Mercury Sable 1996 (6 Cylinders 3.0L EFI) with Diagnostic Trouble Code of P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank no. 2 ) now how do I fix the problem?

I dont know much about your code, but I'm kind of worried about the fact that I tried to have this car pass an emissions test and it didn't. It said I needed to replace certain sensors. ONe of these was the O2 Sensor and the other was an ODB Sensor. I've changed both and driven them both for the time you need to when you change them and the light still flashes and I cant seem to sort it out.

My emissions sticker expired in February of 2007 and I need to have this damn thing fixed as soon as possible.

Do you know how or what?

The light flashing means the converter is being damaged. In both cases the converter may need replacement. Unless you have a scanner to read the data stream, you may need to have it looked at by a shop that is versed in this area.
