1989 Other Mercury Models takes too long cranking to fire in

fuel pressure is good ignition syst is firing normal . some time i spray starting fluid in intake manifold to get it going . is the problem in the coolant sensor or the oxygen sensors . if the coolant sensor is the problem where it is located ? engie is v8 5.0L car MER.grand marquis . appreciate your help. thks E.A

Could be the coolant temperature sensor its located on top of the engine to the right of the distributor
