The trouble I am having is that I don't know if the cooling fan is coming on at the right temps, both low/high speed. The fan motor tested good, relays are good, and the temp sensor tested good. The fan comes on momentarily at start up, then quits. It comes on at high speed when the AC compressor has been activated, or when I pull the connector off the temp sensor driving the PCM/ECM input. I used a thermocouple against the thermostat housing to see at what temp the fan would come on in slow/fast, and off. The radiator cooling fan did not come on even up to 112 degrees Celsius. The book says slow start is 100 and fast is 103 degrees Celsius. I had just replaced the thermostat, along with the gauage sending unit, which was bad, and used new coolant. The temp guage now works, but it hoovers at the upper normal range limit. This clued me to think I may also have an additional cooling problem. It also runs lean, and has the check engine lite on. I will look at the IAC, MAF and replace the fuel filter for this trouble code, as the engine runs fine, but wants to stall out if not warmed up. What could be casuing this problem? The ECM/PCM? Or the radiator housing cover resistor used in low speed?
