1996 Mercury Mystique 2.0L mileage: 180,000.
Just had the cly. head / valves / headgasket done.
car running great for a few days, now while driving the car, the idle speed went up to 2,000 - 2,500
RPM and will not go lower. I unhooked the throttle and cruise control cables, no change. Throttle body butterfly valve looks fully closed.
I unplugged the mass air flow, the idle did drop but
idled very rough and stalls.
