1996 Mercury Mystique cant find the starter

haynes manual says to romove filter, and massflow sensor (done) then remove the top two bolts from the starter. I don't even see the starter. Help!!

Anytime you have difficulty finding the starter just follow the positive battery cable down under engine. It leads straight to the starter ;) Starter is on bottom rear of engine.
