Hello...need help with a 1985 Mercury Marquis with 169000 miles on it. 3.8 V6..auto-trans with AC.
There is a vacuum hiss coming from the drivers-left-hand-underside dash. It appears to be some sort of a dashpot/diaphram that ties in with the emergency brake? I think it used to release the emergency brake when the car was shifted from park to a gear?
Trying to locate this part, but the drop-down menus cant help if I dont know what this is called and what "class" part it is....brake,trans,interior etc,etc.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance, john
