I have replaced steering rack twice including the solenoid valve.
Replaced the pump twice. Above, at suggestion of dealer.
Replaced the pressure switch in the pressure hose.
Replaced the vaps module, and calibrated by Ford dealer.
Re-aligned front end after each rack change.
Car has been to dealers four times.
Greased all steering joints.
Still hard to steer at low speed.
Mercury dealer's final comment: we haven't got a clue what's wrong, after having the car four days.
My comment: if speed determines the amount of assist, how or where does the module get the signal to regulate pressure. Or, what else is there to check?
Help,
$840.00 invested and still no steering.
