Original owner; generally great condition GS. New alternator and battery. Intermittantly the engine won't crank/turn-over. Plenty of juice in battery for lights, horn etc. First cleaned problemattic solenoid connections to eliminate corrosion. Next dealer replaced 12 V relay in starting circuit, next dealer replaced starting switch (behind ignition). Then undid solenoid connections and cleaned again and checked battery terminals for clean contacts and sprayed with WD40. Wife had most troubles; when I try later and manipulate/rotate key cylinder to start position it has cranked. All power is OK only it won't turn over at all. Recently read on line about Neutral Safety Switch (which this apparently doesn't have) and similar function Transmission Range Sensor. Wonder if this or related position sense may be cause? Location of solenoid is WAY under car so not easy to measure with voltmeter when this happens to see if voltage is getting to solenoid? At this point wondering about starter/built in solenoid or some sense/safety switch?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
