Battery light on instrument panel illuminates intermittently. Have been driving the vehicle several weeks with this occurring without any additional failures of any kind. In addition the vehicle has an alternator gauge which displays ample charging and operation of the electrical system with no fluctuations while the vehicle is in use. Before a dishonest mechanic simply removes the instrument panel indicator bulb from the socket and tells me it has been reparied do you have any suggestions that might correct the problem?
