Brakes problem
1995 Mercury Marquis V8 Automatic 190000 miles
Ok so we bought this car. A 1995 mercury grand marquis and noticed that you had to push the pedal way down before the car would stop. It does no however go all the way to the floor. Under the advice of a shop we had the bakes bled and had the master cylinder replaced with no change. Brakes go down maybe 3/4 of the way to the floor but once there feel pretty tight. If you pump the breaks once or twice it gets tighter and will retain that tightness until you let go . the pedal (which is then imediatly loose again). Any ideas? I hate to keep replacing things that arent bad. Thank you!
