i ran my auto for 700 miles in cold weather low 1 3/4
quarts of oil .is my engine hurt?

was it down 2 quarts when you started? if it was full then it ended up 2 quarts down then you are loosing oil and you should check for leaks.

if it was down 2 and you do not notice any driveability problems then you have no problems with your engine.
