2001 Mercury Cougar Where to buy/replace the gas tank strap

I looked all over the internet for a gas tank strap for my 2001 cougar and can't seem to find one. Can I use another strap or must I buy one exactly for a cougagr? How or what do I need to replace it myself. Thanks

normally when a tank strap breaks and you can't find one then most auto parts have universal straps available. although notoriginal equiptment, they will work, they have to be shortened most of thetime and there are several places to bolt them in....
