Hi
I have a Mercury Cougar 2001, 60,000 miles v6 engine.
When I am stopping my cars starts shaking. It started to do this 2 years ago and I thought I needed my brakes fixed.
So I had my front brakes and rotors changed and it still seemed to shake. It wasn't as bad. So I took it in to see what it was and they said they found nothing wrong.
It wasn't doing it that bad so I let it go but it started getting worse little by little everytime I stop. I took it in again and they said my brakes where fine but my rotors are worped. So I had those changed and It is still getting worse. It seems when I stop my seat is vribrating and not so much the steering wheel any more.
I'm not sure if I should take it to a brake specialist or if it is something that is still under warrenty at the dealer.
thank you
Patty
