I am currently changing the Front Brake Rotors on my 2000 Mercury Cougar. i just bought the car and dont think they have ever been changed. THESE ROTORS WILL NOT COME OFF! i have been wailing on it with a hammer for hours. i have soaked them in Liquid Wrench. there are no visable screws or bolts holding it on. the rotors are odd looking with a stamped ring of different metel around the inside. i think they are factory stamped. Does anyone know how these come off??? i have done rotors many time and never had this kind of trouble.
