1999 Mercury Cougar 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 99 cougar 2.5 v6 that has never give me any trouble until today. it has been cold here today didnt even make it to 30 degrees.... when i started the car to let it warm up it started acting like it was getting to much fuel and was overloading. what sensor do I need to change?

try cleaning the MAF sensor, this is a pretty common symptom for this version of the Mercury Cougar..especially when cold weather sets in
