1997 Mercury Cougar Turn Signal Relay Location

1997 Merc Cougar XR7 30th Ann. edition: Have checked with a service station owner who has been in business 50 years this year, Ford- Detroit Tech. Assistance,a local dealer & 2 aftermarlet parts suppliers, all to no avail. The dealer said it was a round metal can (old Tung-Sol type) near the under-dash fuse panel, but it's not. Fuses & lamps are all good. Used the hazard flashers this past Sunday to lend assistance to an accident victim and have not had turn signals or flashers since.
