I have a 93 cougar and need to replace the sway bar links. Upon looking at replacement parts there is a difference in them for 89-92 cougars and 93-97 cougars. The only difference I can see is a curve in the bar. When I looked at the links on my car they are straight like the ones for 89-92 but my car is a 93. Is it possible that I have an early 93 with 92 parts?

Hello,

Yes, look at the month of manufacture. If it is 1 - 5 it could be concidered a 92. Ex: 3 - 1993 could be concidered a 92.

Also a little more info if the month is Aug or Sept it could be the next year up. Ex: 8 - 93 could be concidered a 94.

And on some parts when looked up at a parts store will ask if month is between Jan and June or before June.
