Hello I just bought a 1990 Cougar LS. The seller told me it just had a new trans put in it but on the way home I had to keep it in drive. It had no pull what so ever in OD. In drive the trans wants to slip and shake very violently before it shifts. So in pulling out I have to start out slow. I got home to notice the trans fluid was 2 quarts over full. I havent had a chance to drain it yet but could that be the problem? #2, it has a digital dash and a JBL Sound System. Nothing appears on the dash so I cant see the mileage on the vehicle. But when enough sunlight glares on it I can barely make out the speed, nothing else. Now with the system, the factory cassette deck was cut from the car and a mechanic from the dealer told me the dash wont work because the stereo was removed. Is this true? If not what else could it be? All fuses are good so Im not sure what else it could be. Thanks.
