Vehicle listed above is a M270. I am reassembling the above engine and needs the torque specs for the cylinder head, main and connecting rod bearings.
Water was sucked into the engine while driving through a flooded spot. Compression on 2 cylinders were reduced. Disassembled and conrod were tested to be good. Was scratching my head when I noticed the con-rod bearings were slightly squashed.
Thanks guys.

I am attaching the spec from a 2015 E250 as I suspect that is what you meant. It appears the 250 was not offered in the USA until 2014. I could be wrong but the only motor that I found back in the early 2000s was the 3.2L on the 300 series.

Please review this and let us know if we are missing something. Also, if this vehicle was imported then we are not going to have the manual for it (but I assume you new that :))

Let us know. Thanks

Hi Kenny,

Thanks for the response. Based on the amount of angle turns, I believe this spec is not correct.
I did not measure the bolt size but my guess is that it should be M10 for which the torques specs above would break the bolts..
I am off to the office now and will confirm size.

This vehicle was exported to Japan when new and is now reconditioned and over here in Malaysia.

The head bolts are M11 x 1.5 thread and based on this size, it most likely should max out at 80 ft/lbs. Still did not have any luck checking out so I am going to torque it at 75 ft/lbs, which most probably would be 20 ft/lbs + 90 + 90.
