1998 Mercedes Benz SLK230 ARS light is on -- and off

The ASR stands for Anti Slip Regulation and works in conjuntion with your antilock brakes and traction control system. If this light is coming up I would recommend getting the diagnostic codes read. It may be an intermittent fault that is occuring just enough to kick the light on at times. If you are close to an Autozone you can usually get your codes read for free.
